Instructions

Using the headphones provided, watch the linked presentation, pausing the video at the relevant points in order to complete each task.

The timings below are for guidance, however you should work through the tasks independently. 

Please speak to a member of staff if you are unsure or would like to clarify any instructions.

1 : Mise-en-Scene

2a : Pre-Production Planning

15 minutes

You may use the Internet to search for your locations
Please give details of why each would be a suitable location

2b : Risk Assessment

15 minutes

Provide a minimum of 3 risk factors for shooting in your chosen location. 
How could these be minimised / reduced? 

3 : Screenplay

30 minutes

Your scene should total no more than 1 minute in length.

You may use the Internet to assist (i.e. for identifying trope definitions or for information about screenplay formatting) but your ideas, dialogue and storyline must be your own work. 

This task can be handwritten on lined paper, or typed up electronically.
If typed, please make sure to save a copy to the Desktop with your name in the document title (speak to a member of staff if unsure!)

1a : Theatre Hierarchy

Write down some of the different job roles that you are aware of within the stage industry and if possible, how these may link together. 


NOTE: there are LOTS! So aim for somewhere between 5 - 10 different roles if possible. 

1b : Interrelations

15 minutes

Pick two of the job roles you identified - how might these people work together? What are their responsibilities? 

2 : Production Analysis

15 minutes
