Join our Governing Board

Join the Governing Board at BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy!
BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our governing board and help shape the future of our academy. Being a governor is a rewarding, voluntary role that involves attending three meetings per year (in person or virtually), typically held on a weekday from 3-6pm. Papers are shared in advance for review to support informed discussions.
Governors play a vital role in:
- Shaping the academy’s direction and strategy.
- Creating opportunities for our learners.
- Approving initiatives proposed by senior leaders.
- Holding the Principal and senior leaders to account.
- Governors also have the chance to contribute to the BOA Trust Governance Committees via the Chair.
We currently have up to four vacancies and are particularly looking for individuals with experience or interest in:
- Health and safety.
- Marketing, promotion, or student recruitment.
- The stage and live events industries.
- Further education or sixth forms.
- Active local community involvement and outreach.
- Parent governors with a passion for education.
This is your opportunity to contribute your expertise, make a difference in the lives of young people, and support the creative industries.
To learn more or express your interest, contact us at info@boa-stageandscreen.co.uk.
Interested parties will be invited to an informal conversation with the Principal and Chair and can observe part of a governor meeting before submitting an application for consideration by the board.
Be part of something truly special—join us in inspiring the next generation!
