Academy Closure - Wednesday 24th & Thursday 25th June 2026

Please see below a letter that went out to parents/guardians on Tuesday 23rd June 2026 regarding the Academy Closure due to the Red Weather warning.

Due to the red weather warning currently in place and following careful consideration of the safety and wellbeing of our learners and staff, BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy will be closed on Wednesday 24 June and Thursday 25 June.

This decision has been made in response to the forecast extreme temperatures and associated risks. The red weather warning indicates potential for widespread disruption to transport networks, delays and cancellations to public transport services, and challenging travel conditions across the region. Given the likelihood of disruption and the risks associated with travelling and working in prolonged periods of extreme heat, we believe it is necessary to close the Academy to safeguard our learners and staff.

To minimise disruption to learning, all learners will be set work to complete from home on both days. It is essential that all assigned work is completed and submitted via Microsoft Teams by 4:00pm on each day. Learners should check Teams regularly for instructions, resources and any updates from their tutors.
